This guide will show you where to get the strongest Sharpshot Bows in Horizon Forbidden West and the Burning Shores expansion, their stats, perks, and upgrade resources needed!
Sharpshot Bows in Horizon Forbidden West are the bows to deal impact damage with (among other things, of course). Unlike what it was in the first game, here you will want to rely a lot more on Sharpshot Bows to deal Impact damage.
We strongly recommend that you read ourguide on how gear works and how to gear up in Horizon Forbidden Westif you are new to the game. It will help you better understand the stats and values each weapon and its upgrade and how they impact your gameplay and combat performance.

What the damage numbers mean
Each bow in the game allows you to utilize different types of arrows. Some deal impact damage, others can freeze, shock or burn the target. Some are ideal for bypassing armor and others are perfect for taring off components from the machines.
When reading the tables below for each bow, you will sometimes see two numbers for one arrow type for the elemental arrows, like this: 25 | 53. The first number is the impact damage the arrow will deal and the second one is the elemental buildup it will cause when it hits the target.
When your focus is to build up an Elemental Status on a machine, you only care what the second number of the arrow’s stat says.
Some weapons have a different icon on the second row, one that looks like a shield. This is the Tear damage. If a machine is weaker to a specific elemental damage, hitting it with an elemental arrow will also cause it to take slightly more Impact damage than the listed in the weapon’s stat. But the difference is marginal.
If a weapon’s ammo type has two numbers that are not elemental, they are usually again Impact and Tear (shield) or Explosive (blow-up) icons.
Sharpshot Bows can’t shoot frost, fire, acid, shock or berserk arrows but the previous information is still very important for any player who wants to understand how the damage numbers work in Horizon Forbidden West.
Interactive Tables
The Ammo Upgrades, Coil and Perks, and Upgrade Costs tables in this guide are interactive. The numbers at the top represent the upgrade levels, click on them to see the requirements and stats at each level.
Very Rare Sharpshot Bows
The Very Rare Warrior Bows are perfect for the mid and late game. Some of them may serve you well past the ending of the story and into the End Game.
Warden Sharpshot Bow
Knocking down enemies, especially the large ones, is very helpful. It allows you to get a big grapple hit on them and follow-up with another energized strike if you have the Machine Grapple Strike.
The Warden Sharpshot Bow allows you to use Advanced Knockdown Precision Arrows.
You can purchase the weapon from Dukkah at the Arena for 54 Hunting Medals.

Delta Sharpshot Bow
The Delta Sharpshot Bow is the only Purple Sharpshot bow in Horizon Forbidden West’s base game that has the ability to shoot Strikethrough Precision Arrows. The only other one is the Blacktide, which is ecslusively for the DLC and only if you pre-ordered the Complete Edition.
It is ideal for shooting at human adversaries as those arrows will go straight through their helmets.
The final Rank V upgrade is not worth it because by the time you will likely be able to obtain a Legendary Sharpshot Bow and you will not need to rely on Strikethrough Arrows much.
You can purchase the Delta Sharpshot Bow from the vendor at Thornmarsh for 1249 Shards, 1 Clamberjaw Circulator and 1 Large Machine Core.

Glowblast Sharpshot Bow
The Glowblast Sharpshot Bow is the only weapon in the base game that allows you to use Tear Precision Arrows. This weapon can be useful even in the very late and Endgame to tare off valuable components off of machines. It also has an unlockable Component Tear Perk.
This is one of the few non-legendary weapons well worth the time and effort to fully upgrade. Tearing off components is a challenging task in the late game, especially on higher than Normal difficulties and this bow will make the task considerably easier to farm components.
If you have pre-ordered the game, you will get for free the Blacktide Purple Sharpshot Bow. It is actually better than the Glowblast and can shoot both Tear and Strikethrough arrows.
You can get the Glowblast Sharpshot Bow from the vendor at Thornmarsh for 1035 Shards, 1 Thunderjaw Circulator and 1 Large Machine Core.

Blacktide Sharpshot Bow
The Blacktide Sharpshot Bow is a gift for pre-ordering the Complete Edition. This is the best weapon in the game that can shoot Tear Precision Arrows. It also has Strikethrough Arrows.
By the time you get to use it, you will likely already have more powerful Impact damage dealing Sharpshot Bows in your arsenal. It’s a great and very versatile weapon, though. And you get it for free.
You can get the Blacktide Sharpshot Bow from the Hunter at Fleet’s End when you arrive at the Burning Shores. You have to complete the main story of the base game and start the Burning Shores DLC to unlock this region.

Regalla’s Wrath
Regalla’s Wrath has only two types of ammo but don’t let this fool you. Its stats are unmatched by the other Sharpshot Bows of this rarity and considering that its perks increase Overdraw Damage, Reload Speed and Long-Range Damage you have a very strong case for one of the best non-legendary weapons.
You can get this bow for free during the main quest The Wings of the Ten. After defeating Regalla in combat, you will have to decide if she lives or dies. To get Regalla’s Wrath you must choose to kill her, otherwise this weapon will remain locked for the rest of your playthrough.

Legendary Sharpshot Bows
The highest tier weapons in Horizon Forbidden West are the Legendary ones. They are color-coded in “orange” and are usually given to you as a reward of a quest chain. Some can also be purchased from vendors.
Forgefall
The Forgefall is the best and highest tier Sharpshot bow in the base game. This legendary weapon deals massive damage thanks to its ability to use Advanced Precision Arrows. To purchase this weapon, head to the Arena Prize Master Dukkah. It costs 80 Arena Medals.

Gravesinger’s Lament
The Gravesinger’s Lament is the best Impact damage dealing bow in Horizon Forbidden West and also has Strikethrough Precision Arrows that go right through armor. It’s also relatively easy to upgrade considering how late in the game you get to purchase it. If you play through the story of the DLC, you will have more than enough Brimshine to purchase and fully upgrade it.
This legendary sharpshot bow is only available in the Burning Shores DLC. You can purchase it from the hunter at the main camp Fleet’s End when you arrive there after completing the main story and if you own the DLC. The bow costs 3000 Shards and 8 Brimshine.
