What is the username and password for Clever? ›

Your username and password are set up by your school district. They may be your student number, ID, or email address. If you are unsure of your username or password, please contact your teacher.

If you are unsure of your login credentials or receive an error, please reach out to your district support contact or help desk for assistance. You can typically locate their contact information by selecting Get help logging in! from your district's Clever login page.

Logging in using credentials

Students and teachers who are not using Badges can log in to Clever directly from a Safari web browser. Open up the Clever application. Select 'Log in with username/password' button at the bottom of the screen. This will immediately open a new Clever tab in a Safari browser.

Accessing the Clever Portal

To log in, simply navigate to clever.com/login and search for your child's school. Once found, Clever will remember your selection for future logins. No need to search again! Once you have selected your school, log in using your Badge or school-provided username and password.

Including both letters and numbers in a random pattern is safer than using personal identifiers or common phrases. A username that is easier for you to remember is usually easier for a hacker to guess. This is especially true when the username is based on a variation of your email address, name, or home address.

Logging students out of Clever

Teachers also have the ability to log students out of Clever! Log your class out of Clever by following the steps below: Navigate to My Students > Student Roster in the menu on the left side of your Portal. Filter by class.

Similar to Clever, ClassLink allows students and teachers a portal to quickly log in and access their digital applications.

Deleting custom teachers

If a record is missing from the file, it will be deleted. To remove an individual custom data record, please navigate to the Clever Dashboard > Custom data page. Select the corresponding tab for the record type you would like to remove. icon to delete the record.

How do I turn off Clever? ›

Once you are in your Clever Portal, you can reset your 6-digit PIN by clicking on your name in the top-right corner, and clicking 'Reset your Badge PIN'.

If your student receives an error stating Invalid username or password, this means the credentials your student has entered are incorrect for their Clever account. If allowed by your district, your student can select the Get help logging in! option to reset their password.

Clever Saved Passwords is a feature in Clever that allows students and teachers to sign in to apps which do not natively support Clever Instant Login. IT loads the student/teacher usernames and passwords for each app into the Clever Saved Passwords database.

Clever also offers single sign-on access for students and teachers via the Clever Portal. Clever's core features are free for schools and districts in the United States and Canada! This means Clever doesn't charge schools or districts to utilize our platform.

The username is an identifier: it tells the computer who you are. In contrast, a password is an authenticator: you use it to prove to the operating system that you are who you claim to be. A single person can have more than one Unix account on the same computer. In this case, each account would have its own username.

Password Requirements for individual passwords:

Students: 6 character minimum / Teachers or Staff: 8 character minimum. Not the user's current username. Not the user's current email address.

We can do HTTP basic authentication URL with @ in password. We have to pass the credentials appended with the URL. The username and password must be added with the format − https://username:password@URL.
